• ELEKS Software development centre in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine, is established to strengthen the company’s growth abilities. The company establishes close relationships with Ivano-Frankivsk Electronic Technical College.

• The company’s team exceeds 100 people.
• ELEKS Training Academy is established in the company for students to gain practical development experience and get familiar with ELEKS Software development and project management processes, teamwork and customer focus concepts.

• ELEKS Software expands its expertise into new business areas and fulfils projects in such industries as Trading, Marine, and e-Learning.

2001

• ELEKS Software becomes a Microsoft Certified Partner.
• ELEKS Software is recognized as a Borland Technology Partner (BTP).
• ELEKS Software releases its first e-Government solution developed and implemented in collaboration with Teleologica Ltd., a UK-based consulting company. It is a first step in combining forces of the companies for mutual fruitful activity and further establishment of ELEKS-Teleologica Strategic Alliance.
• ELEKS Software becomes a member of Fort-Ross (united with RUSSOFT in 2004), association, which consists of software development companies from Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus.
• The company becomes a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.
• ELEKS Software also launches several initiatives concerning HR and Education management. The company extends its investments to personnel education and technical excellence. English teachers are employed to provide an ongoing English language program for ELEKS Software personnel. Close cooperation with Lviv Physics and Math Lyceum and the Department of Applied Informatics and Mathematics (Lviv National University) is launched.

2000

• ELEKS Software establishes its international presence: the company branch in Nevada, USA, is launched to represent ELEKS Software on the USA market.
• The company moves to a new office to support its growth.
• ELEKS Design Studio is established with its focus on Web sites development.
• ELEKS Software starts memberships in domestic and international professional organizations. The company joins the Ukrainian Association of Software Developers.

1999

• ELEKS Software is titled the best development company in Ukraine and honored with awards in three nominations (Objects, Graphics and Medicine) at “SoftRegatta’99”, the All-Ukrainian software developer contest. Thus ELEKS Software proves to gain a foothold and become the leading software company on the Ukrainian market.
• The company directs its activities to custom software development and world outsourcing market penetration. The first outsourcing project starts for Eagle Investment Systems. The Eagle STAR project becomes a starting point for ELEKS Software in providing a full range of software development services. Up to now Eagle STAR, a multi-component investment accounting system, is under development and involves already over 1300 man-months of our efforts.

1998

• ELEKS Software fulfils several projects for local small- and medium-sized enterprises. OBERON, an ERP system for SMBs, is launched.
• AVALON, a hospital information system, is released.

1997

• ELEKS Software becomes an Informix VAR Partner.

1996

• Application for patient biomechanics examination system, our first healthcare project, is developed for the International Rehabilitation Clinic specializing in cerebral palsy therapy.
• ARDEN application is designed as object-relational framework for creating client-server applications.

1995

• The company chooses client-server software development as its mainstream expertise area.
• AMBER, a graphical information system, is released to provide data visualization and graphics-to–data drill-down capabilities.

1992-94

• DAKAR application is released as the first fully integrated system bringing together all instruments necessary to automatically determine operation modes of electrical power systems and graphically display the results. The system is implemented in over 20 power systems and networks in Ukraine and Russia.
• REGIME application is launched for transient process simulation and non-symmetrical steady state calculation of power distribution systems.

1991

• ELEKS Software is founded by Skrypnyk Sr. and Jr. as an independent enterprise at the facility of Lviv State Polytechnic Institute. The name “ELEKS” stands for “ELEctricity,” “Knowledge” and “Systems” and highlights the primary business area at the moment – development of science-intensive power engineering and power distribution systems.
